Congrats to Karlo
Congrats to my old J-school accomplice Tom Karlo on his recent engagement. He's one of the smartest guys I know, so I'm sure he's made a great choice in Julia, who I unfortunately haven't met. Best of luck to them both.

More Pictures
Riley had a great weekend with his family (although he helped Daddy pull an all-nighter on Saturday night). Not much new to report -- he's growing fast and likes being taken for walks in his stroller. He met his Uncle John from Germany for the first time on Friday, which was also the first time he's ever been to a public place (we met at a local restaurant).
All in all, a very nice weekend that went by too fast. More pictures are here, though.

DVD Rack
In non baby-related news, I finally did something about my DVDs this weekend. My collection was threatening to take over the whole bedroom, so at Melissa's suggestion, I gutted my old crappy rack and built shelves on the bedroom walls. I also gave up on my ill-conceived attempt to organize the movies by genre and put them all in alphabetical order.
I ran out of space, but had the thought to separate them into movies and tv shows. That broke them up nicely, even if it makes my Robotech fixation a little embarrassing and creepy.
The shelving is pretty standard Rubbermaid pressed wood shelves from Home Depot. I had to configure it in an "l" shape because of my desk, but it actually worked out pretty nicely. There's room to grow by about 30 movies, so this should last me a while, or at least until the summer. I really need help.

Riley's One Month Old Today
Riley turned one month old today (well, yesterday, as it's after midnight) and he's doing great. He's very alert and is starting to sleep for longer periods. I'm going to sleep, but wanted to put up some new photos from a couple days ago.

Riley's First Easter!
Riley had a really great first Easter with lots of baskets and books and stuffed animals. His goopy eye is much better now, although he's still has a lot of gas pain after he eats. He's starting to sleep more regularly, which is good for his parents too. Plus, he got a Social Security Card so now he can pay taxes like the rest of us. Yay!

Riley Update: Three Weeks Old
Hard to believe, but Riley will be three weeks old on April 5. Sorry we haven't posted in a while, but, as you might expect, things have been really nutty.
He's had lots of visitors in the past couple of weeks. Grandpa Mike came down for a first visit last weekend, as did Great Aunt Fran. Grandma Carol and Aunt Ashley and her boyfriend Griffin came into town last weekend also. We had a house full, but everyone seemed to enjoy meeting Ry or seeing him again.
He's now really turning into a baby, having lost his umbilical stump and gained a little weight. He's in a fairly good rhythm at night, usually eating at around 9 p.m., midnight, three and six. Then, like his father, he usually sleeps in a bit in the morning. We're both a little tired (sometimes more than a little), but Grandma Lynne has been a huge help.
